MUJUN Workshop is a pioneer in craft revitalization, specializing in forging high-quality ikebana scissors and knives. After training four young blacksmiths, they acquired a forest in Shimane Prefecture, improving the forest environment and building a traditional forge. They hope to add two more blacksmiths to their team this year.

    Director, MUJUN Workshop

    MUJUN Workshop, founded by Kobayashi, addresses the succession crisis facing artisans who craft tools based on blades. Operating from two bases̶Ono in Hyogo Prefecture and Yunotsu in Shimane Prefecture̶the workshop is training a total of four young artisans. Its aim is to inherit and further develop techniques that enable comprehensive toolmaking through traditional free-forging.
